The Festival of the Sea takes place this weekend – it’s a family fun day and it celebrates all aspects of the sea.

The Festival of The Sea is an addition of Fishermen’s Day which is held on the first Sunday in June in Iceland. Every year, Sjómannadagurinn (e: Fishermen’s Day) is celebrated in honor of the brace people who have worked hard to support one of Iceland’s main industry.
