August in Reykjavík is teeming with cultural happenings, fantastic events, and things to do. This weekend we celebrate the annual Culture Night in Reykjavík with festivities all around the city center. The streets of Reykjavík come alive as numerous citizens participate in shaping the day. The festival is therefore an indispensable part of the cultural life of the citizens.

It’s a festival that can put a smile on everyone’s face! The festival will be formally staged at 1 pm at Hagatorg. All events are offered free of charge.

Transport

The city center will be transformed into a pedestrian street and people are therefore encouraged to walk into town or make use of free bus trips. The information center in Reykjavik City Hall will be open from 10am to 11pm.
