RECEPTION

The hotel reception is open every day, all year round (24-hour reception). Our goal is to offer great customer service for our valued guests.

CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT

Check-in is from 15:00 (3 pm). Check-out time should be done before 11:00 (11 am). To request a later check-out, please contact reception.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation and prepayment terms vary according to room type. Cancellation of an individual must be received in writing within 24 hours to arrival. If cancelled with shorter notice, one night stay is required. The same goes for a no-show. Please contact the hotel for more information.

BREAKFAST 

Continental breakfast is included in the price and is served on the ground floor from 07:00 am – 10:00 am every day. Buffet, vegan, gluten-free. For those leaving earlier, you can request for an early breakfast.

RESTAURANTS CLOSE TO HOTEL KLETTUR

We do not have a restaurant on-site however, there are multiple restaurants conveniently located very close by. Hlemmur Food Hall is for instance located about 300 m from our hotel.

LOCATION

Klettur is located about 0.8 miles away from the center of Reykjavík.

ACCESSIBLE HOTEL

Hotel Klettur offers wheelchair access and reduced mobility rooms. For specific inquiries, we recommend contacting us ahead to confirm.

PETS

Pets are not allowed at the hotel.

PAYMENT

Visa, Maestro, JSB, Euro/Mastercard, Discover Card Diners Club, and American Express. We offer Mobile Payment WeChat pay.

CHILDREN AND EXTRA BED 

All children under 2 years of age stay free of charge in a cot. One child 3 – 5 years old stays free of charge when using existing beds. If an extra bed is required it will incur an extra charge.  The fee depends on the price of the hotel at any given time. Please enquiry about the availability of extra beds before making a reservation.  Children 6 years and above are charged as adults.

ROOM UPGRADE

Please know that a room upgrade always depends on availability. Please contact reception or booking@hotelklettur.is

REFRESHMENTS

All rooms include complimentary coffee and tea trays, which are replenished daily. They are meant to be used in the room only. We also have snacks at reception for purchase when midnight cravings strike.

We are always happy to arrange any kind of surprise for our guests for special occasions. Please contact us at booking@hotelklettur.is or ask our staff members in the reception upon your arrival.

LOST ITEMS

Hotel Klettur stores unspecified valuables for 3 months. Please contact us at lostandfound@hotelklettur.is

SAFETY

Security camera recording. Records are saved 6 weeks back in time. The purpose of security cameras in general security and property protection.

THEFT

All thieves are appealed to the police.

ELECTRICITY

It may shock you (pun intended) to learn that Iceland uses the standard 220-240 V European socket with two round prongs. Outlets accept adapters for type C or F sockets (often labelled “Northern European” adapters). And because nobody wants fried electronics, guests coming from the US or other countries with different voltage standard may need a power adapter.
